Strain origin – Penis Envy 7 (PE7): An Exclusive Find, meticulously isolated and initially stabilized by the mycologist known as “Joshua,” is a treasure for mushroom enthusiasts. PE7 stands out with its abundant flushes, robust and distinctive formations, and intriguing features. Its coloring is truly unique, ranging from deep browns to chestnut hues. Originating around 2019, this variety has maintained an air of semi-elusiveness. Gill formation – Gills typically are small inset, minimal formation and opening. Gills are often sterile and contain no spores. This is Common for penis envy varieties.
Microscopy features – Purplish brown spores. Spore messure 7 x 12 micrometers. This variety PE7 does not discharge spores. Spores need to be taken manually with a sterile swab to be observed. Germination of spores will often be observed having clamp connections and fine feathered mycelium. Microscopes and magnification equipment is recommended for viewing microscopic features.
