Tosohatchee Dry mounted spore glass slide

Mushroom Spore swabs are sterile cotton swabs that contain spores for microscopy use only. Spore prints are mushroom spores collected to foil, glass and preserved for genetic collections. Isolation culture plates are mycelium isolated to monoculture for observational purposes.

Strain origin – Found by Drew over at ITW. The story behind the strain: June 22nd 2020, It was a warm summer day. Drew had been searching relentlessly for hours in cow fields neighboring the extremely diverse and robust Tosohatchee wildlife area in Florida. He came across some cow patties that had some clusters of mushrooms and the tosohatchee story began. After sending spores to a number of cultivators for domestication, we found a winner. Tosohatchee quickly became known for high potency as it was seen in the Psilocybin Cup. A special facebook group was created specifically for people who have purchased these prints for discussion and research purposes. InoculateTheWorld released ‘Tosohatchee Cubensis’ Mushroom Spores in winter of 2020.

Gill formation – Gills typically are medium to large, wide range of formation. Likely to have available gills for spore production.
Microscopy features – Purplish brown spores.  Spores measure 7 x 12 micrometers. This variety Tosohatchee cubensis discharges spores during sporulation. Spores can be printed to be observed under magnification. Germination of spores will often be observed having clamp connections and fine feathered mycelium. Microscopes and magnification equipment are recommended for viewing microscopic features.

Rare varieties of psilocybe cubensis will be retired in the Genetic Vault. Check out the Vault for more unique collectable varieties! Affiliated mycology businesses that offer lab equipment and tools visit basmycology.com & lexiconsci.com
