Steel Magnolia – Isolated Spore Syringe (Blue Magnolia X Penis Envy)

Steel Magnolia is a beautiful fungal specimen.  This cross between the classic Blue Magnolia and the epic Penis Envy variety is an extremely fun mushroom to study. It came from Mississippi circa 2011. Microscopy characteristics include Deep brown bulbous caps with sight waves, and rich dark brown to purple spores.

Spores intended for microscopy, taxonomy and novelty purposes only.

    A visually striking strain, Steel Magnolia exhibited moderate colonization times but formed dense and unique-looking fruits. Slightly higher humidity during fruiting seemed to improve results.
