Strain origin – Bas Original Hybrid is the result of an anastomosis hybridization, combining a wild Peruvian Psilocybe cubensis with the infamous Penis Envy Uncut. The process was both rewarding and challenging, particularly because PEU has primarily recessive traits. Bringing out features like the wrinkled stipe and non-hollow stems was difficult but ultimately successful. This hybrid is known for its robustness, making it a workhorse strain for enthusiasts.

The name Machine Elf draws inspiration from Terence McKenna, who described entities he encountered. especially DMT. Known as “machine elves” or “fractal elves”, these entities are reported across many cultures. McKenna’s stories have inspired many in the community, and this hybrid pays homage to his contributions to the understanding.

• Microscopy features – Purplish brown spores.  Spore measure 7 x 12 micrometers. This variety Machine Elf typically discharges spores. Microscopes and magnification equipment is recommended for viewing microscopic features.
