Tampanensis – Isolated Spore Syringe
Strain origin – Tampanensis was originally collected in the wild in a sandy meadow near Tampa, Florida in 1977, the fungus would not be found in Florida again for decades. Tampanensis forms psychoactive truffle sclerotia that are known under the nickname “philosopher’s stones”.
- Gill formation – Gills typically are medium to large, wide range of formation. Likely to have available gills for spore production. caps will be small in nature
- Microscopic features – Purplish brown spores. Spores measure 7 x 12 micrometers. This variety Tampanensis cubensis discharges spores during sporulation. Spores can be printed to be observed under magnification. Germination of spores will often be observed having clamp connections and fine feathered mycelium. Microscopes and magnification equipment are recommended for viewing microscopic features
