Pakelensis – Spore Print

Mushroom Spore swabs are sterile cotton swabs that contain spores for microscopy use only. Spore prints are mushroom spores collected to foil, glass and preserved for genetic collections. 

Strain origin – Pakalensis Mushroom was found in Chiapas, Palenque Mexico in early 2013. Originally found by Pekon Metsa who Mushroom Hunting in 2012 Expedition in Mexico. He spent some time in Palenque.

  1. Gill formation – Gills typically are medium to large, wide range of formation. Likely to have available gills for spore production.
  2. Microscopic features – Purplish brown spores.  Spores measure 7 x 12 micrometers. This variety Pakelensis cubensis discharges spores during sporulation. Spores can be printed to be observed under magnification. Germination of spores will often be observed having clamp connections and fine feathered mycelium. Microscopes and magnification equipment are recommended for viewing microscopic features.
