Description
Albino Penis Envy
Mushroom Spore swabs are sterile cotton swabs that contain spores for microscopy use only. Spore prints are mushroom spores collected to foil and preserved for genetic collections. Isolation culture plates are mycelium isolated to monoculture for observational purposes.
Strain origin – Albino Penis Envy comes from penis envy. Albino genetic traits are recessive genes that have been isolated to be stable and consistent. These traits include total loss of pigment (pure white) and spores are less productive and clear. The Ape first came from the original pe isolation circa 1990 when the original isolator found in a multi spore grow. Notoriously known to be a stubborn strain to keep alive and well the ape has made itself somewhat of a unicorn for collectors. With its common instability it has many forms. Tall, squats, black caps, greenish caps, greys, whites and blues are all common colors.
Gill formation – Gills typically are small, tightly packed. Some less developed ape isolates will have reverted large gills. Likely to have available gills for spore production.
Microscopy features – Clear transparent spores. Spores measure 7 x 12 micrometers. This variety Albino Penis Envy does not discharge spores. Spores need to be taken manually with a sterile swab to be observed. Germination of spores will often be observed having clamp connections and fine feathered mycelium. Microscopes and magnification equipment are recommended for viewing microscopic features.
