Albino Melmac Isolated Spore Syringe
Strain origin – Found by Basidium Equilibrium himself. This Bas original has a huge history, stemming back 45 years. Melmac was formerly known as “Homestead Penis Envy” from the Homestead Book Company, a publisher of well-known mycology books that are mainstream today. Interestingly, the term “Melmac” might remind some of the fictional home planet of the character ALF (Alien Life Form) from the American sitcom “ALF,” which aired in the late 1980s. ALF hailed from the quirky planet of Melmac in the Andromeda galaxy. It’s worth noting that the Homestead Book Company, which originally cultivated this strain, was involved in offering mushroom grower kits and publishing books on fungi but closed its doors after 45 years of business in 2017.
The Discovery of Albino Phenom: Abino Melmac was found during a spore grow hunt for Alpha phenotypes. A discovery of a new albino was found by BAS and worked back to spore several generations to stabilize this albino feature.
- Gill formation – Gills typically are medium to large, wide range of formation. Likely to have available gills for spore production.
- Microscopic features – Albino spores. Spores measure 7 x 12 micrometers. This variety Albino Cubensis does discharge spores during sporulation. Spores can be swabbed to be observed under magnification. Microscopes and magnification equipment are recommended for viewing microscopic features
- Rare varieties of Psilocybe Cubensis will be retired in the Genetic Vault. Check out the Vault for more unique collectable varieties!
